The Christmas Endurance Challenge is a timed, loop-style "race" taking place over the course of a 12 hour time frame.
As this is ultimately a charity fundraiser, there is no minimum distance requirement; however, awards will be given to the runners (or run teams) who complete the most mileage by the end of the day. Participants may run/walk one mile or as many as they'd like with the allotted 12 hour time frame. The course will consist of a 1.3 mile and a 3.1 mile (5K) loop options. Runners may traverse any combination of these 2 loops throughout the day.
If you're aiming for a new distance PR or just looking for a fun day with the running community, this is the event for you!
The event will start at 10AM and end at 10PM. All laps must be completed by the cutoff time to be counted.
** Foothills Outdoors is organizing a timed 5K run for anyone that would like to participate. This will be optional; however, anyone registered for the 12-hour event will automatically be eligible to run. This race will follow the same 5K course the 12-hour is utilizing. Race will begin at 3:00 PM. **
All proceeds go directly to buying Christmas gifts for under-privileged children in Moore and Chatham county. The Christmas Endurance Challenge is a charity fundraising event presented by Style Performance Nutrition, Stellar Scoops Ice Cream Shop, Foothills Outdoors and North Moore Lions Club.

If severe weather forces a reschedule, there will be an attempt to host the event on the following day - Sunday, Dec. 4th.
While online registration is free, we do ask that all participants plan to make a personal registration donation of $7 or more on race day. Cash, Paypal & Venmo accepted.
Registration fees have been kept as low as possible for the sole purpose of allowing those who can, to donate.
And for anyone who can't donate, we still want you to participate!
Even though registration is "cheap", we won't be. We don't skimp. Aid stations will be stocked and the course will be prepped and ready.
The main goal of this event is to raise money that will aid in providing Christmas presents for under-privileged children in Moore and Chatham county this holiday season! This may be accomplished through individual or group sponsors. No personal sponsors? No problem! The Bear Creek Endurance Challenge team has coordinated with local businesses to set up monetary pledges contingent upon group distance requirements. Generally speaking, fundraising for mileage may be counted in a few different ways:
As an individually sponsored athlete, it is your responsibility to collect and donate raised funds in a timely manner. Donations/fundraising money from individually sponsored athletes must be submitted to race directors no later than December 5th at 11:59PM.
